You can only use the FTP connection to your picdrop account if your picdrop account was registered before June 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For accounts registered after June 2022, please use the upload directly in your browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your FTP login data can be found in your account settings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting up your FTP accounts isn\u2019t rocket science and in most cases the same procedure. There are differences in the applications though. We compiled a list of the most common FTP clients and provide you with a step by step guide on how to set them up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One more thing before you start: if your FTP program has problems uploading using Windows, please disable the option to run uploads in .filepart format. (Applies mainly to WinSCP\/Putty)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyberduck (Mac)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Click on \u201cNew Connection\u201d on the top right<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Connection type: SFTP (SSH Connection)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Server: ftp.picdrop.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Port: 22<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Username: your picdrop username<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Password: your picdrop password<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Click on \u201cConnect\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Your picdrop-account can now be found in your bookmarks and can be opened anytime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Transmit (Mac)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Click on \u201cFavorites\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Click the + sign on the bottom edge<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Enter the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Protocol: SFTP<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Server: ftp.picdrop.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Username: your picdrop username<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Password: your picdrop password<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Click on \u201cSave\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Double click the just created item to connect to picdrop<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Attention<\/strong>: When renaming and moving files and folders in Transmit there might be some issues. This is a Transmit issue, we can not solve on our. Additonally, only the latest version of Transmit is compatible with picdrop. Version 4 and older will produce an error when uploading to picdrop\u2019s servers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Forklift (Mac)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Click on the star in the \u201cFavorites\u201d menu at the top<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Click the + sign on the bottom edge<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Enter the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Name: picdrop<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Group: Favorites<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Server: ftp.picdrop.com<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Username: your picdrop username<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Password: your picdrop password<\/em> (please leave the field \u201cAsk\u201d blank)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Double click the just created item to connect to picdrop<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Your picdrop-account can now be opened anytime via the \u201cFavorites\u201d in Forklift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Click on  \u201cFile\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Click on \u201cServermanager\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Click on \u201cNew Server\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Enter the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Port: 22<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Server Type: SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Logon Type: Normal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • User: your picdrop username<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Password: your picdrop password<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
